OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not achieved, tours may not be conducted, or the prices, content, and vehicles used for optional tours/activities may vary based on participant numbers. Additionally, the days and times of optional tours/activities may change at the discretion of the guide based on the opening/closing status of museums, historical sites, or venues, as well as weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods of events such as fairs, congresses, concerts, and sports tournaments, hotels may be located at distances greater than specified km.

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability; in these types of rooms, the bed offered to the 3rd person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since the extra beds are either pull-out beds or sofa beds, participants in reservations for the 3rd person and/or child accept that there may be tightness in the rooms and the type of beds.

Child discounts apply to only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and conforming to the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts included in the tour program are served according to the breakfast culture of the country and generally consist of a limited menu, usually called continental breakfast, including butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate room designated for the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Sri Lanka is Sri Lankan Rupee. It is advisable to have US Dollars (USD) with you.

TIME ZONE

There is a +3 hours 30 minutes difference between Turkey and Sri Lanka. When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 15:30 in the country.

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

We recommend bringing easily removable clothing such as T-shirts, short and long-sleeved shirts, shorts, and cotton pants, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket for the evenings, as well as beachwear. Additionally, you may want to pack a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs for potential noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers, along with spare memory cards. When entering Buddhist temples in the country, avoid wearing shorts, skirts, clothing that exposes shoulders, and tight-fitting garments. Women are advised to carry a light shawl or scarf. Also, since shoes and socks are removed when entering such structures, it is recommended to wear shoes and sandals that are easy to put on and take off.

CUISINE

The country has its own unique cuisine made up of spicy dishes. However, you can find restaurants that offer examples from international cuisine in the hotels where we will be staying.

ELECTRICITY

Generally, 200-220 V is used. India uses English-type three-pin plugs. Many types of our two-pin plugs fit into the sockets. To avoid issues where the plugs do not fit, you can purchase universal plug adapters sold in electronics stores.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or obtaining a visa (for destinations/passports that require a visa) does not guarantee entry into the country. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry. The agency is not responsible for this situation; the responsibility lies with the passenger.

The agency acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be delays in regular and special flights, or the times may change before the existing tour and flight. The agency is obliged to inform about these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers acknowledge and accept that flight details may change upon purchasing the tour. Children aged 0-2 do not pay the airport tax and airport service fees.

The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general introduction of the cities and are conducted as panoramic tours from within the vehicle with guide narration; they do not include museum or historical site entrance fees, and they last a maximum of 2-3 hours. If the panoramic tours, including other tours indicated in the program, cannot be carried out due to local authorities not granting permission for visits, or any event resulting in closed roads, or due to weather conditions making the tour impossible, the agency shall not be responsible for not conducting the mentioned tours. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot where there are closed roads or areas not permitting vehicle entry, within the limits of possibilities.
